In 2026, SeeD began its first project in Ghana through the Development and Resilience Index Against Violent Extremism initiative, known in this context as DRIVE-Ghana. Implemented in collaboration with Resilience for Peace (R4P), the project marks the first deployment of the DRIVE programme outside Côte d’Ivoire.
The project is being implemented in Ghana’s Northern Region, an area shaped by its proximity to Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo. In this context, DRIVE-Ghana aims to generate evidence on the factors influencing community resilience, social cohesion, vulnerability to violent extremism, and opportunities for constructive civic participation.
Building on the DRIVE model developed in Côte d’Ivoire, the project combines advanced data analysis with clear and actionable evidence products. Its findings are intended to help partners identify key trends, emerging risks, and practical entry points for strengthening stability, inclusive participation, and peace.
Through DRIVE-Ghana, SeeD is supporting evidence-based planning and helping R4P strengthen its capacity to design strategies grounded in local realities. The project is currently ongoing and represents an important expansion of SeeD’s work on resilience and prevention in West Africa.
