SCORE – Caribbean
SeeD partnered with the UN to design and implement the first regional SCORE Index for the English-speaking Caribbean, covering The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Antigua and Barbuda. The initiative aimed to fill a long-standing gap in understanding the underlying drivers of social cohesion and conflict across the region. By analyzing factors at the individual, relational, community, and societal levels, SCORE provided a comprehensive evidence base to help explain why certain groups may be more vulnerable to violence and insecurity. This multi-country effort marked the first attempt to generate region-wide, comparative data on social cohesion, offering actionable insights for the UN, national governments, and regional institutions to inform policies and strategies that foster resilience, stability, and inclusive development.
