Asia

SeeD's work in Asia dates to 2014 when the the SCORE index was calibrated for Nepal. Since then projects have been implemented in Timor Leste and Malaysia. Project results have been used to advise governments and local civil society organisations on strategies for peace and development.

SeeD conducted a study in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2019, The study investigated the following key research directions: Analyse the language and life skills needs of young people in isolated communities (a) to enhance their resilience, give them a voice for influencing their community decisions, and (b) to increase their opportunities to access work, services, education and information.

Explore the role and importance of English language and life skills in supporting the resilience of young people affected by conflict particularly in South Caucasus countries.

Understand how enhanced English language and soft skills can support social cohesion and decrease vulnerability in those isolated communities in issues of conflict, radicalisation and poverty.

Analyse any constraints for access to opportunities and the impact of the project interventions in line with the project Theory of Change and Review and Evaluation Framework.
